Job summary

IPG Photonics is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator to design, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure in a manufacturing and defense-focused environment. The role covers virtualization, Windows Server, AD, identity management, and Microsoft 365 services.

You will lead patching, disaster recovery, and security initiatives, while ensuring ITAR compliance and robust resiliency of critical infrastructure systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Systems/Infrastructure Administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, AD, Windows Server, and Entra ID.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency planning.
• Ability to operate in ITAR-regulated environments and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and maintain Nutanix/VMware environments.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and related services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
• Manage identity, access controls, MFA, and SSO solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure supporting production workloads.
• Lead vulnerability remediation, patch management, disaster recovery, and backup initiatives.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure environments comply with ITAR requirements and security standards.
