Insider, Inc. is seeking an experienced Security Software Engineer (Staff or Senior) to join our Infrastructure Security team in San Francisco, Austin, or Seattle, or work remotely. This role focuses on designing and building scalable security controls within MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or relevant security work, proficiency in major programming languages, and in-depth understanding of Linux and networking.

We offer a competitive salary range of $127,000 — $249,000 USD, along with comprehensive benefits including equity, parental leave, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or relevant security work.
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, Rust, Python, or C/C++.
• Deep understanding of Linux and networking concepts.
• Experience building security-related features or platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and its security ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core security services for MongoDB Atlas.
• Build secure infrastructure using Linux security mechanisms.
• Develop APIs and automation for security posture management.
• Integrate security into CI/CD workflows using Terraform.
• Lead projects from discovery to implementation.
