Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks a seasoned program manager to lead complex construction and educational facility projects on site with client teams. Responsibilities include resolving disputes, managing schedules, cost control, contract administration, bid planning, and policy development.

A CCM or degree in engineering/architecture is preferred, with extensive experience in large programs.

Qualifications

  • Twenty years of full-time paid professional project/construction management experience.
  • Ten of the 20 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative).
  • Must have five years’ experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California).
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
  • A CCM credential may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

  • You'll resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
  • You'll develop, assign, and monitor performance of OARs relative to assigned construction projects.
  • You'll review status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules.
  • You'll review change orders from all construction projects and assess their impact on the district.
  • You'll assist Regional Directors and other Facilities management staff with bid and contract planning.
  • You'll assess bid specifications according to District needs and probability of completion under stated timeline.
  • You'll review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
  • You'll review and verify submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects.
  • You'll provide functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control.
  • You'll review and monitor overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultants.
  • You'll coordinate program activities with other District organizational branches and departments.
  • You'll review and resolve disputes related to construction projects.
  • You'll develop and recommend internal policies and procedures.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
