Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on defining cybersecurity requirements, architectures, and secure designs across complex information systems and networks.

The candidate will design secure solutions, including Cross Domain Solutions, and implement robust security controls. Strong RMF, vulnerability management, and GRC experience are required, with active TOP SECRET/S SCI eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• One of: HS diploma with 14+ yrs, Associate with 10+ yrs, Bachelor's with 8+ yrs, or Master's with 6+ yrs.
• Certifications: CISSP (or Associate), CASP CE, CSSLP, ISSEP, CISM, or ISSAP.
• Familiar with Nessus, Guardium, WebInspect, NMAP or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of RMF and ATO processes.
• Experience with vulnerability management incl. CVEs/KEVs.
• Knowledge of federal directives and frameworks (CISA EDs, BODs, VPRs).
• Experience with RMF, POA&M tracking, and GRC tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement cybersecurity requirements, architectures, and secure designs across information systems and networks.
• Design, develop, and integrate security solutions including CDS for data flow and interoperability.
• Implement network security controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities; recommend security posture improvements.
• Maintain and track vulnerability data, POA&Ms, and remediation using GRC/enterprise tools.
• Lead stakeholder engagement through office hours and updated procedures for vulnerability management and compliance.
• Provide rapid response to data calls, RFIs, and leadership inquiries, including escalation of high-risk remediation actions.
