At Quanta Power Solutions, we are driven by a culture of safety, integrity, and disciplined execution — and we're building a team that shares that commitment.

About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an IT Support Analyst III to provide advanced technical support and maintain information technology systems that support both corporate operations and field-based power generation projects. This senior-level role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across office and remote environments, including operational technology (OT) systems critical to energy infrastructure. The IT Support Analyst III serves as a technical escalation resource, leads infrastructure and support initiatives, and partners with business and operational teams to improve technology performance, security, and reliability.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for complex hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues across corporate and field locations.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for service desk personnel and junior IT support staff.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Group Policy, and identity management solutions.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and remote connectivity infrastructure supporting offices, substations, and project sites.
  • Lead the support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA and industrial control systems utilized in power generation and energy infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, security, and performance of business-critical applications, infrastructure, and OT environments.
  • Implement and support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation efforts, endpoint protection solutions, and compliance requirements, including NERC CIP standards.
  • Lead system patching, software deployment, operating system upgrades, backup validation, and disaster recovery testing activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents and implement long-term corrective actions to improve system stability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, network diagrams, system configurations, and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, cybersecurity, and field operations teams to support strategic business and project objectives.
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization efforts, cloud technology deployments, and technology lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Manage IT asset inventory, software licensing, vendor relationships, and equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Support and coordinate technology deployments for remote project sites and field offices.
  • Assist with evaluating, recommending, and implementing new technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to support staff.
  • Travel to job sites, field offices, and customer locations as required.
What You'll Bring
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5-8 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related technical role.
  • Advanced experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong experience administering Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Group Policy, and user access management.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, remote sites, and distributed workforces.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response practices.
  • Experience supporting system backups, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work, manage competing priorities, and execute projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits, field support, and project activities.

  • Experience supporting industrial, utility, power generation, renewable energy, or construction environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, operational technology (OT) environments, industrial control systems (ICS), or electrical utility infrastructure.
