Sr. IT Project Manager- Infrastructure

This is a hybrid 12-month + W2 contract position. Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the Knoxville TN area. Candidates must be able to work onsite at least 2-3 days per week.

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to focus on supporting two infrastructure-related projects. The Sr. IT Project manager would work directly with enterprise technology operations team members to complete the majority of the work required, along with business-facing technology team members to help organize the organizational change management & training-related activities. Projects would include introducing network segmentation for company centers, and migrating company sites onto the company network to ensure they can properly function on it with access to the tools they need to operate.

Responsibilities & Technical skills required

Must have 6+ years of IT Project Management experience and demonstrated experience managing Enterprise Level Infrastructure projects.

• Responsible for driving all initiatives for both projects.
• Lead the creation of successful project plans in situations where a plan is not already created by start time.
• Adhere to company technology standards related to project management including escalation practices, status reporting, etc.
• Responsible for identifying when projects are off track and aiding in the issue resolution.
• Work with highly technical individuals to ensure that the work needed for the outcomes of the projects is understood and captured within a project plan.
• Seek ways to build efficiencies for project deliveries.
