Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced Information System/IS management professional to oversee the IS lifecycle, coordinate cybersecurity and technical teams, and ensure RMF compliance for a major defense program.

The role requires a bachelor’s in information systems or computer science, 5+ years leading IT/security initiatives, and a willingness to work within classified environments. U.S. citizenship and security clearances are required.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with the Program Management Office to oversee the Information System (IS) and coordinate work with IS support teams - Cybersecurity, Digital Technology, and Test Equipment System admin teams to meet program deliverables on the information system. Ensure that the planning and execution of all RMF activities are aligned, integrated with, and supportive of the system acquisition process. Perform integrated change control by holding regular Change Review Boards (CRBs) that review, verify, approve, prioritize, track, and record requested changes to the IS and/or modifications to its configuration. Providing oversight for classified data and media creation, processing, custody, transfers, and destruction. Developing system planning and budgetary requirements and communicating these needs with Program Management for sustainment operations, proposals, and reviews. Manage user accounts, accesses, authorizations, and privileges, as well as establish data and media ownership. Work in partnership with security teams to certify IS compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF), RTX Cybersecurity, classified information security policies. Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with performing the system risk assessment, documenting the respective results, and keeping reports current throughout the acquisition and development phases of the system lifecycle. Provide the ISSM with updates to the Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), including identifying correction actions, determining resources required, documenting milestone completion dates, and addressing any residual findings.

Qualifications

You Must Have Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Information System Management, Cybersecurity, Digital Technology, Program management, Control Account Management, etc. Ability to foster relationships with multiple working groups - Digital Technology, Cybersecurity, Test Equipment System Admins, Engineering teams, Program Management Offices, etc. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, projects, and initiatives. Experience in a leadership role within IT or cybersecurity is beneficial Strong understanding of information systems, program security, and working in classified environments Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. RTX PM Certification Level 6 or above, or equivalent Earned Value Management (EVM) Certified Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and program partners. Organized and able to drive team results Demonstrated success in leading technical projects.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
