Job summary

STI in Columbia, SC is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security architecture reviews, risk analyses, and compliance activities. This onsite role requires 5+ years in IT security, with experience in IBM System 390/zSeries, Linux, Windows, databases, and eGRC systems.

Interviews will be conducted via Teams, with a 12-month contract and potential extension. Candidate must be a SC resident or relocate to SC; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Must have strong working knowledge of FISMA, NIST, CMS MARS-E and HIPAA Security and Privacy.
• 5+ years of IT experience auditing IBM System 390/zSeries, Windows, Linux, databases, networking and web apps.
• Certified with ISC(2), ISACA, SANS GIAC or equivalent security certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed architectural reviews and risk analysis for security requests, including network design and information flow.
• Audit internal agency systems and business partner security controls.
• Collaborate with leadership and vendors to mitigate security and compliance risks.
