This role involves providing cyber risk and threat identification through proactive monitoring of internal and external landscapes for events, risks, threats, malicious code, vulnerabilities, and attacks, particularly related to the Financial Services industry or Wells Fargo specifically. You will leverage your technical expertise to assist in the design and implementation of network security products, aligning security measures with organizational goals.

Your responsibilities include researching and communicating cyber threat intelligence, designing and maintaining robust network security infrastructures, and ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance across the enterprise environment. Specific duties encompass:

  1. Firewall Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point firewalls.
  2. Policy Development: Design and implement firewall rules, access control policies, and NAT configurations.
  3. Monitoring & Optimization: Conduct performance monitoring, rule base reviews, and policy cleanups.
  4. Threat Mitigation: Analyze and respond to security incidents.
  5. Network Architecture: Collaborate on designing scalable and secure network solutions.
  6. Automation & Reporting: Develop scripts to automate policies and generate security reports.
  7. Compliance & Audits: Ensure configurations meet security standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with IT, DevOps, and Security teams.

In this role, you will also:

  • Participate in incident response activities.
  • Conduct security investigations and digital forensics.
  • Provide security consulting for projects.
  • Design and test security solutions across various domains.
  • Review security logs and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Perform risk assessments and evaluate remediation options.
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with network security products, including installation, migration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Expertise with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point firewalls, including advanced features.
  • Proven ability to create, audit, and refine firewall policies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience diagnosing and resolving network issues.
  • Scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, NSE4/5, CCSA, or CCSE.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, IDS/IPS, and incident response.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Expectations:

  • Willingness to work on-site at the specified locations.
  • Hybrid work schedule; not eligible for Visa sponsorship; no relocation assistance.
  • Availability for on-call 24/7 environment.
