Job summary

ICW Group in San Diego seeks an Information Security Engineer III to design secure architectures and advance cybersecurity across cloud, data, and AI environments. You will partner with application, cloud, and analytics teams to embed security from design through production.

This role supports risk reduction, vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response in a highly regulated insurance setting, balancing security with business needs and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, or CS.
• 8+ years in security engineering designing networks and architectures.
• 3-5 years AWS Cloud Security experience preferred.
• Experience with data analysis, risk assessment, incident management, and policy development.
• AWS IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud, on-prem, and SaaS environments for threats using SIEM, EDR, and cloud logging.
• Assist with security incident response activities, including investigation and remediation.
• Lead security architecture controls reporting, audits, and risk assessments.
• Contribute to vulnerability management across cloud infrastructure, apps, containers, and data platforms.
• Provide security guidance balancing risk reduction with delivery speed and business priorities.
• Perform security architecture reviews before production deployment.
