Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5-7 years of experience in security engineering, architecture, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and security frameworks.
• Ability to rapidly understand new technologies, processes, and environments and assess security implications.
• Experience performing security assessments, architecture reviews, risk analyses, or similar analyses.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technologies and business initiatives to identify security risks and provide risk-based guidance.
• Assess unfamiliar technologies and translate security implications into actionable recommendations.
• Apply security principles and frameworks to evaluate situations and advise on safeguards and actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, vendors, and leaders to incorporate security into decisions.
• Research emerging technologies, evolving threats, and regulatory requirements affecting the organization.
• Lead security reviews and architectural evaluations to identify weaknesses and improvement areas.
• Develop clear security guidance, assessments, standards, and written deliverables for stakeholders.
• Communicate complex concepts and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Present findings, facilitate discussions, and build consensus on security approaches.
