Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte, a leading global law firm, seeks a Senior Information Security Engineer to oversee security across applications, networks, and systems. You will drive lifecycle security, define controls, and serve as a technical point of contact for other departments.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of related work experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLMs, and agentic AI.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Knowledge of information security risk frameworks and server architecture.
• Knowledge of network concepts, host security settings/controls, and security technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts/tools and secure code development.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage security requirements of Firm assets and systems.
• Create and maintain the Firm-wide security architecture.
• Manage security requirements throughout development and acquisition lifecycles.
• Perform certification and accreditation prior to releasing software to production.
• Develop and maintain inventories for software, applications, networks, hardware, systems, and mobile devices.
• Define, implement, assess, and maintain controls to protect assets per security requirements.
• Manage security configuration and changes across tech stacks.
• Develop and maintain information asset inventories and controls.
• Collaborate with teams outside Information Security.
