Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to strengthen enterprise cybersecurity operations and lead vulnerability management for the federal mission. This role supports hybrid environments and requires TS/SCI, US citizenship, and strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will work with Tenable Security Center, Linux/Red Hat systems, Azure IL5/IL6 services, and Defender for Endpoint to sustain secure posture and compliant

Qualifications

• Education: Security+, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience
• Technical skills: Tenable Security Center, Linux/Red Hat, DISA STIGs, NSA guidelines, DoD compliance frameworks, Azure IL5/IL6 support, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, POA&M management, vulnerability analysis, incident response familiarity

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management operations and optimize Tenable Security Center across Linux/Red Hat environments
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, network, and leadership to ensure secure configurations and rapid mitigation of vulnerabilities
• Drive reporting, tune detection rules, resolve scanner/integration challenges, and improve endpoint security and threat detection
• Support federal DoD cybersecurity environments and RMF/NIST 800-53 frameworks

As an Information Security Analyst Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will directly support the mission of the customer by strengthening enterprise‑level cybersecurity operations and ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient systems across hybrid environments. You will play a crucial role in leading vulnerability management operations and contributing to threat detection and response activities that safeguard mission‑critical assets.

• Lead enterprise vulnerability management operations, including deployment, configuration, and optimization of Tenable Security Center across Linux/Red Hat environments to ensure the customer maintains a secure posture aligned with DISA STIGs, NSA guidelines, and DoW cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, network, cybersecurity operations, and leadership teams to ensure secure configurations, rapid mitigation of vulnerabilities, and effective POA&M management across on‑prem and Azure IL5/IL6 environments.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing vulnerability data, developing actionable reporting, tuning detection rules, resolving scanner and integration challenges, and enhancing endpoint security and threat‑detection fidelity.
• Utilize tools such as Tenable Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure IL5/IL6 services, Linux/Red Hat administration, and enterprise security monitoring solutions to strengthen the customer’s cyber defense capabilities.

• Education: Security+, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Technical skills:
  • Tenable Security Center (Tenable.sc), Linux/Red Hat administration, DISA STIGs, NSA guidelines, DoW compliance frameworks, Azure IL5/IL6 support, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, POA&M management, vulnerability analysis, incident response familiarity
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: Ability to work independently as a subject‑matter expert while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; familiarity with RMF and NIST 800‑53 frameworks; experience supporting federal or DoW cybersecurity environments
