Job summary

SMX is seeking an Information Operations Planner/Team Lead to lead development, synchronization, and exploitation of IO/CA/MISO plans within SOCPAC. You will provide regional audience estimates, shape environments to meet COMSOCPAC objectives, and integrate MILDEC, MISO, CYBER, STO, JEMSO, OPSEC, and PA into SOF OAA across target countries.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years in IO/CA/MISO, leadership experience, and a strong DoD/JOPs background, with travel as needed to CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Clearance TS/SCI required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, or Asia-Pacific-related field of study.
• Demonstrable success in government contracting through prior customer-facing work.
• Previous experience in DoD Joint Operations.
• Previous experience in tactical and strategic operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Minimum of eight (8) years IO/CA/MISO experience.
• Eight (8) years integrating MILDEC, MISO, CYBER, STO, JEMSO, OPSEC, PA into operations.
• Three (3) years planning and synchronizing asymmetric options for SOF operations.
• Six (6) years of operational staff experience.
• Three (3) years+ in USPACOM AOR.
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimates of information environment and audiences for assigned regions.
• Develop government implementation plans to shape the environment to achieve objectives and support affiliated units and partners.
• Assist in development of MILDEC, MISO, CYBER, STO, JEMSO, OPSEC, and PA integrated plans.
• Conduct non-lethal targeting of POIs and TAs in physical, informational, and cognitive domains.
• Assist in planning operations to support USSOF, interagency partners, and partner nations.
• Develop SOF options for steady-state operations and Crisis Management Framework in select countries.
• Develop plans to enable SOCPAC to support USPACOM contingency planning.
• Provide input into USPACOM, SOCOM, and SOCPAC working groups and exercises.
• Monitor information environment to inform planning and measure effectiveness.
• Travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.
