Job summary

Phenix Technologies is seeking an Industrial Wiring Technician III to join our Production Department in Maryland. You will assemble and wire electrical test equipment, follow schematics for layout and routing, and mount components in cabinets, ensuring precise wiring and quality during assembly.

The role requires 5–8 years of industrial wiring experience, reading schematics, soldering, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; preferably with electronics or Electrical Technology
• Technical School in Electrical Technology is a plus; additional experience may be considered
• 5-8 years of experience working in Industrial Wiring
• Reading of Electrical Schematics
• Soldering
• Industrial Wiring, including wire layout / routing
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
• Working knowledge of safety protocols
• Use of hand crimpers and cutters
• Knowledge and use of basic hand tools
• Knowledge and use of powered hand tools
• Must have very good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Must be able to maintain a clean, safe and functional workstation

Responsibilities

• Soldering of PC boards and other electrical connections
• Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on a chassis panel
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
• Complete assembly and wiring of standard units such as, Regulators, D149, Resonant Test Systems, Cable Test Systems, Motor Test Systems & Transformer Test Systems
• May be asked to assist in different departments
• Completing tasks and jobs within allotted timeframe
• Follows policies and procedures to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy
• Ability to communicate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
• Ability to conduct complex soldering that is not just limited to PC boards
• Follows safety protocols
