Job summary

Kohl's in Summit Station, OH is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician who will coordinate repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance cost-effectively.

You will inspect and repair conveyors, HVAC, air compressors, bailers, and power handling equipment, and manage parts inventory. The role requires working with minimal supervision and providing OJT to associates; candidates should bring a basic tool kit and maintain a neat work area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of conveyor systems and equipment.
• Preventive maintenance of air compressors, bailers, compactors, and power and material handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration and inventory control.
• Meet with supervisor/manager to plan future preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with managers to address mechanical opportunities while maintaining productivity.
• Provide on-the-job training to Associates.
• Assist outside contractors as needed.
• Promptly answer jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues.

Shifts:

Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am

Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am

Friday-Sunday 6pm-6am

About the Role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will efficiently coordinate and implement repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance in a cost-effective manner.

What You’ll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers, cardboard conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Meet with department supervisor and/or manager to anticipate and plan for future preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address mechanical opportunities while ensuring optimum processing productivity
• Provide back-up for department Assistant Manager and/or Manager when absent
• Compile and maintain accurate inventory records and reports
• Provide on-the-job (OJT) training to Associates

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility

• Assist outside contractors to perform various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
