American Plastics, LLC is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to join the design team. The role balances user needs, aesthetics, manufacturability, and cost to deliver innovative plastic products.

You will work at the Innovation Center and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to move concepts into production. The ideal candidate has a strong industrial design background, a robust portfolio, and proficiency with SolidWorks and other CAD tools.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in industrial design and/or engineering.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product design, ideation, sketching, form development, and successful commercialization.
• CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or Autodesk Inventor; knowledge of materials and manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, ideation, development, and optimization of plastic products from concept through commercialization.
• Create hand sketches, renderings, storyboards, prototypes, and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to bring concepts into production.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable product solutions and document changes.
• Develop design concepts, present to teams and customers, and establish design standards.
