Job summary

BD UCC is establishing Industrial Designer capability for user-centered product design across its platforms. This role bridges aesthetics, ergonomics, usability, and engineering feasibility to deliver products that are intuitive, differentiated, and manufacturable.

This individual will embed industrial design best practices into the product development lifecycle — from early-stage innovation through new product development, leading design across four UCC platforms.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Design, Product Design, or closely related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of professional industrial design experience.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Design Leadership across all four UCC platforms and establish design standards.
• Plan and conduct generative user research to inform design direction and requirements.
• Lead concept generation translating user needs into product form through sketching and prototyping.
• Collaborate with Human Factors Engineering for usability studies.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing for design for manufacturability.
