Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead the conceptualization and development of new consumer products in our Portland, OR office. You will own design concepts from concept through production for diverse product categories.

You will leverage advanced sketching, visualization, and 3D modeling to guide architecture and ensure design intent is maintained. Collaboration with CMF, UI, mechanical and electrical teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 6+ years of product design experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design concepts from concept to production across multiple product categories.
• Develop engineering-ready 3D models and guide product architecture.
• Create visualizations and CMF strategy to communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and vendors to ensure design quality.
• Mentor junior designers and influence cross-functional teams.
