Job summary

CRP Industries is seeking a hands-on Logistics Manager to lead inbound freight from PO release to final delivery. You will collaborate with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to improve shipment visibility, control freight costs, and ensure reliable product availability.

The role requires a strong mix of analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to optimize end-to-end logistics and manage a high-performing logistics staff across domestic and international shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10 years minimum progressive experience in inbound transportation, freight, logistics, or supply-chain operations.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international transportation, including ocean, air, truckload, less-than-truckload, parcel, and intermodal services.
• Working knowledge of customs brokerage, import documentation, duties, tariffs, HTSUS classification and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound orders end-to-end.
• Maintain accurate purchase order, shipment, delivery, and tracking information.
• Select transportation modes and routes.
• Consolidate freight and negotiate rates with carriers, forwarders, and brokers.
• Coordinate customs clearance, duties, tariffs, import documentation, HTSUS classification, and compliance.
• Establish routing, documentation, communication, and escalation standards.
• Identify and resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and freight-invoice errors.
• Monitor logistics performance and develop contingency plans.
• Lead and develop assigned logistics staff.
