Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Research Associate for the In Vivo Pharmacology team to support autoimmune disease programs. This hands-on vivarium-based role emphasizes immune cell modulation and pharmacodynamic assessment of novel therapeutics, with participation in preclinical in vivo studies and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology or related discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on in vivo research with increasing independence.
• Experience with mouse handling, dosing, blood collection, tissue harvest, necropsy, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Execute in vivo studies supporting autoimmune disease programs with immune modulation, inflammatory readouts, PK/PD, and efficacy.
• Perform dosing via IM, IP, IV, and SC; collect blood, tissue; perform necropsy and observations.
• Partner with research leads for study design, endpoints, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate study logistics: dosing schedules, sample collection plans, reagent prep, communication with partners.
• Analyze, visualize, and summarize data using established tools with guidance from seniors.
• Maintain documentation: data collection, inventories, protocols, study summaries.
• Ensure compliance with IACUC, animal welfare, biosafety, and policies.
• Additional duties as assigned.
