Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director (Sr. Principal Scientist) to lead immunology clinical research strategy and late-stage development. You will shape IND-enabling plans, design trials, and direct multi-site studies across the full development cycle.

The role requires extensive immunology trial experience and a strong track record of scientific publications, with collaboration across regulatory, statistics, and manufacturing; travel ~20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Broad immunology clinical trial expertise across phase 2/3
• Strong scientific publication track record
• Cross-functional collaboration across functions (regulatory, statistics, manufacturing)

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and direct clinical research for immunology compounds across the full clinical development cycle.
• Evaluate pre-clinical and translational work to develop early clinical development plans and INDs.
• Support business development assessments for external opportunities to expand the immunology pipeline.
• Develop clinical development strategies and plan clinical trials (design, operational plans, settings).
• Monitor and manage conduct of ongoing and new clinical trials.
• Analyze and summarize clinical findings to support safety/efficacy decisions, NDAs, and publications.
• Participate in internal and joint internal/external research project teams.
• Supervise Clinical Scientists; collaborate cross-functionally to manage clinical development projects.
• Maintain scientific knowledge and build external collaborations; travel ~20%.
