Job summary

Vaxcyte, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Immunoassay Development to lead the CMC Immunoassay group in the vaccine pipeline. You will guide development, qualification, and lifecycle management of reagents and reference materials, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

You will mentor scientists, manage study timelines, ensure data integrity, and partner across QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD with 8+ years in biopharmaceutical/analytical environments.
• Hands-on immunoassay development, optimization, and lifecycle support.
• Proven track record leading lab staff, coordinating schedules and data reviews.
• Experience with GMP-regulated environments is desirable.
• Strong communication across functions and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily immunoassay operations, scheduling, and staff planning.
• Mentor scientists and associates in assay development and validation readiness.
• Prioritize work based on programs, timelines, and resource constraints.
• Oversee data review, documentation, and risk escalation.
• Manage outsourced immunoassay activities with CROs/CDMOs and vendors.
