Job summary

MASS Tech LLC in Greensboro, NC is seeking a highly skilled IIoT Senior Solution Engineer to design, develop, and deploy IIoT and SCADA solutions that support manufacturing operations across production areas. This role will ensure accurate, real-time data is available and seamlessly connected across manufacturing systems, empowering teams to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years experience in industrial automation, SCADA/HMI, or IIoT architecture.
• 3+ years with Ignition platform (Perspective, Designer, gateway, scripting).
• Proficiency in Python, Jython, .NET/C#, Typescript, SQL.
• Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens).
• 2+ years using Sparkplug B, MQTT, and OPC UA/DA in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, DeviceNet, ControlNet).
• Strong SQL querying/updating.

Responsibilities

• Build edge data ingestion systems capable of hundreds of concurrent PLC connections with production-scale throughput.
• Deliver reliable applications using Ignition SCADA, .NET/C#, Typescript, and Angular.
• Develop load testing platforms for stressed testing of industrial drivers and messaging ahead of production.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, design specs, and technical decision records.
• Coach team members to build solutions and effectively use platform tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics, maintenance, and quality teams to translate processes into requirements.
• Evaluate emerging industrial technologies and provide strategic recommendations for integration.
