Job summary

Skorpios Technologies, Inc. seeks a Sr. Simulation Engineer to lead high‑fidelity modeling of photonic integrated circuits, including lasers, modulators, and passive components. You will bridge theory and hardware in an in-house foundry environment, ensuring designs are optimized for Skorpios’ platform.

The role requires strong experience in photonics simulation, a PhD/MS in a related field, and collaboration with internal Fab teams to enable reliable tapeouts and robust device performance.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or related field with computation focus.
5+ years of industrial photonics simulation and design experience.
Proven track record from concept to in-house manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead high-fidelity modeling and simulation of complex photonic ICs.
Coordinate with in-house Fab and Device Designers to drive tapeouts.
Perform DOE, validate against lab data and refine material parameters.
