Job summary

IBM is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own identity, infrastructure, automation, and zero-trust systems across a fast-moving tech environment. You will partner with security, infrastructure, and compliance teams to maintain audit-ready operations and scalable IAM across multiple clouds.

You will implement and govern IdP platforms (Okta/Azure AD), enforce least-privilege access, and drive automation using scripts and GitOps practices. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems, identity, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on IdP administration with Okta and/or Azure AD.
• Knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC (PKCE, Client Credentials), SCIM.
• Experience with SailPoint (IdentityIQ/IdentityNow) or similar IGA tools.
• Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP with IAM/RBAC and network controls.
• Zero Trust and enterprise VPN/SASE experience (GlobalProtect, Prisma Access).
• Automation mindset; GitOps/IaC and scripting (Python, shell) to replace manual work.
• Strong communication and problem-solving; able to explain tradeoffs to engineers and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own identity, infrastructure, automations, and zero trust systems end-to-end.
• Administer OAuth/SAML/OIDC and SCIM provisioning and governance.
• Lead multi-cloud administration across AWS, Azure, and GCP with RBAC and IAM.
• Architect and manage Zero Trust security platforms (GlobalProtect, Prisma Access).
• Oversee SaaS administration (Google Workspace, GitHub Enterprise IAM).
• Lead security audits and compliance reviews (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Develop and maintain runbooks and architecture documentation; automate manual work.
