Job summary

Tyler Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced identity and access management professional to lead the technical ownership of Okta, Entra ID and Active Directory.

You will architect lifecycle workflows, build Okta Workflows for Joiner/Mover/Leaver automation, and design robust authentication policies with MFA while bridging integrations beyond native capabilities. You will mentor IT analysts, participate in Agile ceremonies, and maintain architecture runbooks and training paths to support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with identity and access management in a mid-to-large enterprise.
• Hands-on experience with Okta Workforce Identity, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, Workflows, Access Gateway, Identity Engine.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID — Conditional Access, app registrations, enterprise apps, PIM, B2B, hybrid join.
• Active Directory engineering across multi-domain/multi-forest, GPO, Sites & Services, ADFS, AD/Entra Connect, PowerShell.
• Knowledge of AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center, AWS Managed AD, and federation patterns.
• Experience designing SAML 2.0, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, SCIM 2.0, WS-Fed integrations.
• Experience automating identity lifecycle (Joiner / Mover / Leaver) from HRIS.
• MFA platforms and authenticators (Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator, FIDO2 keys).
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC 2, SOX, CJIS, FedRAMP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux and macOS.
• Some travel is required.
• Fingerprint background check (CJIS requirements).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner and SME for Okta, Entra ID and AD.
• Architect identity lifecycle pipelines and design workflows.
• Build Okta Workflows for Joiner/Mover/Leaver automation.
• Engineer bridges to non-native integrations (Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Own SSO strategy and application onboarding standards.
• Design and maintain authentication and access policies including MFA.
• Lead AD hygiene and remediation activities.
• Create identity dashboards for visibility and license usage.
• Maintain non-production tenants for testing and rehearsals.
• Mentor IT Analysts and Engineers across identity platforms.
• Participate in Agile/Scrumban ceremonies and documentation.
• Contribute to IT projects, change management, incident response, on-call rotation.
