Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an ICT Senior Consultant (Security) in Washington, DC to lead design efforts for critical facilities and corporate projects. You will craft CAD/BIM layouts, perform security design calculations, and coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients under senior supervision.

The role requires 8+ years in security design across diverse markets, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience in varied markets (data centers, healthcare, aviation, etc.).
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of active network systems and structured cabling design.

Responsibilities

• Represent Syska Hennessy Group and interact with internal design team and external clients.
• Create designs under minimal supervision of senior staff.
• Develop specifications, system narratives and layouts for a variety of projects.
• Establish system parameters and sequences under guidance of senior team member.
• Participate in QA/QC processes for your work and others.
• Assist in project scheduling, staffing, and budgets.
• Perform construction administration and field investigations including site inspections and reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and design team.
• Assist with RFI’s, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
• Lead CAD/BIM activities among technical staff.
• Write engineering proposals under senior guidance.
• Attend continuing education seminars.
