Job summary

Engtal in Dallas is seeking a Senior ICT Design Engineer to design and coordinate telecommunications and ICT infrastructure for complex projects nationwide.

You will produce construction drawings, riser diagrams, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit, and collaborate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role offers hybrid scheduling, professional growth, and exposure to challenging projects across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years ICT, telecommunications, or low-voltage design experience in an engineering consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and telecommunications systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Preferred: RCDD certification, CCNA, DCDC, OSP, or PE designation; healthcare/mission-critical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, telecommunications rooms, backbone and horizontal cabling, and network pathways.
• Prepare design drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate designs with MEP, architectural, and structural teams.
• Perform site surveys, field investigations, and existing conditions assessments.
• Support construction administration including RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure designs comply with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards.
