Job summary

Broadcom Central Engineering seeks an experienced engineer to develop, install, and test silicon verification decks, primarily Calibre, for advanced FINFET, GAA, or high-voltage technologies. Proficiency in Calibre and Virtuoso is essential; strong PERL, TCL, SKILL, and UNIX shell skills are required to extend automation and possibly replace the existing regression framework.

Qualifications

• Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 10+ years of EDA experience.
• User level familiarity with CAD Tools: Calibre, Virtuoso Layout & Schematics, Quantus QRC/StarRC/QuickCap/Raphael, and SPECTRE/HSPICE.
• Solid background in programming, layout design, and technology knowledge to solve layout, physical verification, and post-layout extraction challenges.

Responsibilities

• Development and deployment of Calibre decks for advanced FINFET/GAA/HV nodes.
• Definition of tool acceptance and certification criteria with Broadcom, Foundry and EDA vendors.
• Definition and development of IP test-cases and basic test-structures for tool and technology validation.
• Development of software for automation in Skill, PERL, UNIX shell scripting and tool-flow integration.
• Creation of documentation and hands-on training for AMS Design & Layout engineers.
• Tracking and resolution of tool and technology file issues with Foundry and EDA support teams.
• Monitoring EDA industry trends and engaging with R&D teams on advanced node roadmaps.
