Job summary

Citi in New York seeks an Investment Banking Senior Associate to help clients raise capital and advise on mergers and acquisitions within the Institutional Banking team.

You will mentor analysts, contribute to deal execution, and support business development while leveraging past investment banking experience to strengthen M&A and financing outcomes. The role requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant investment banking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience evaluating corporate transactions and structures.
• Experience creating financial analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with teams and track business development.
• Licenses: Series 79 and 63 within 150 days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of Citi’s Investment Banking activities.
• Leverage past investment banking experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities.
• Contribute to building Citi’s franchise.
• Manage and mentor analysts with guidance and feedback.
