Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with emphasis on IT security required or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in information security.
• 5-7 years in systems security, including maintenance and use of security products in a distributed enterprise environment, and experience in compliance with federal security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Security and Infrastructure Services staff to evaluate and implement security systems.
• Communicate potential security exposures, misuse, or noncompliance to appropriate managers.
• Monitor security logs and report security metrics.
• Assess and respond to security trends and new technologies to meet business goals.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures; participate in audits.
