Job summary

American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Solution Engineer to design, implement, and support Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, strengthening security with RBAC, access certifications, provisioning, and automation across enterprise environments.

Working within Agile or Waterfall teams, you will collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Compliance, Audit, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable IAM designs and secure access management across the

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
7+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience implementing and supporting enterprise IGA platforms.
Experience with IGA tools such as Saviynt, SailPoint, Entra ID, Okta, Oracle Identity Manager.
Experience applying DevOps principles, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
Knowledge of SOX, NERC CIP, PCI or similar compliance frameworks.
Experience with Java, C#, Python, SQL, APIs, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, support, and enhance IAM solutions across enterprise security.
Stabilize, optimize, and expand the IGA platform, onboarding applications and governance capabilities.
Develop identity lifecycle management, automated workflows, provisioning, and access certifications.
Lead RBAC, access reviews, and entitlement governance initiatives.
Collaborate with business units and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable IAM designs.
Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
Provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
