Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a Principal Engineer for Identity & Access Management (IAM) to shape the long-term vision for identity security in an AI-enabled enterprise. You will drive Thrivent's IAM strategy, delivering reusable patterns, scalable services, and enterprise standards across portfolios.

You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, enterprise architecture, and product engineering, mentoring leaders and partnering with executives to ensure Thrivent's identity ecosystem remains

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in identity architecture and IAM governance.
• Experience leading enterprise IAM strategy and programs.
• Strong background in security design, risk assessment, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical leadership for enterprise threat modeling focused on AI-enabled attacks and identity risks.
• Define scalable IAM architectures, engineering practices, and controls for human and non-human identities.
• Lead enterprise identity strategy and governance across portfolios and platforms.
• Advance authentication, authorization, and continuous trust with scalable, product-oriented IAM services.
