Job summary

MAV Project Services seeks a senior Instrumentation & Electrical Designer in Houston to lead design and drafting for plant and pipeline projects. You will manage tagging, conduit/cable numbering, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and equipment lists while coordinating with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Travel to site is required. Responsibilities include developing scopes, coordinating design packages, reviewing estimates, creating material take-offs, and maintaining drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in instrumentation & electrical design for industrial facilities.
• Proficient in PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate project design and drafting management per industry standards.
• Assign electrical equipment and instrument tagging numbers; conduit and cable numbers.
• Resolve drawing development issues; draft changes to record drawings.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, plots, and equipment/instrument lists.
• Develop project scopes and design/construction scopes of work.
