Job summary

aero is seeking a Hypersonics Vehicle Integration Engineer to provide technical support for payload integration on Reentry Vehicles. This role involves extensive customer interaction and requires strong communication skills and hands-on engineering experience.

The position is based in Chantilly, Virginia, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $117,300 to $226,900, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and an active Top Secret / SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience with emphasis on integration and configuration management.
• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required.
• Eligibility to obtain SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Provide insight on contractor’s execution status and risks.
• Act as a senior technical advisor on re-entry vehicle architecture.
• Monitor and assess contractor performance.

Skills

Hands-on experience in hypersonic vehicle integration

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Experience with weapon system integration

Project management skills

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field

Master's or Ph.D. in STEM (preferred)
