The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) seeks a senior Hydrologist to perform advanced reviews of surface water right applications and manage related modeling and GIS tasks in the Water Availability Division. This role requires experience with Water Availability Models (WAMs), WRAP, and Excel-based accounting, with strong communication for stakeholder engagement.
Standard M-F schedule, Texas state benefits, and opportunities to mentor staff are offered in a collaborative environment
Competenze
- Bachelor’s degree in hydrology or a related field with six years of hydrologic experience.
- Master’s degree with five years of hydrologic experience.
- Doctorate with four years of hydrologic experience.
Mansioni
- Perform advanced reviews of Texas surface water right applications using statutes, rules, and guidelines.
- Present technical information to staff, stakeholders, and the public; assist in meetings and hearings as needed.
- Maintain and update Water Availability Models (WAMs) and WRAP analyses.
- Utilize advanced Excel features for complex water-right accounting reviews.
- Produce GIS data and analyses using ArcGIS Pro.
