The role centers on coordinating design activities, developing schedules and labor estimates, and delivering technically sound solutions while upholding FHWA and NCDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of ten years of hydraulic engineering experience, with significant NCDOT project work.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic design for transportation projects, including drainage, culverts, and bridge hydraulics.
• Develop project schedules, scopes, and labor hour estimates; manage budgets.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with NCDOT, FHWA guidelines, and QA/QC standards.
