Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX, seeks a HW Validation Engineer to drive silicon validation for SerDes and other high-speed interfaces across pre- and post-silicon stages. You will ensure functionality, performance, power, reliability, stress and stability, and automotive qualification through comprehensive validation processes.

Responsibilities include validation planning, test development, collaboration with multiple teams, documentation, and automation to streamline FW QA and data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of silicon validation experience with high-speed networking.
• Expertise in PCS and PMA layers; CSI-2/Ethernet interfaces.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and GUI development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed validation plans for silicon and pre/post-silicon stages.
• Create test cases, automate tests, and document results and coverage.
• Collaborate with design, DV, analog and firmware teams to debug issues.
• Support bench screening and high-volume ATE functional screening.
• Produce regular validation reports and stakeholder communications.
