Job summary

Unify Energy Solutions is seeking a mid-to-senior HVAC Mechanic to lead on-site installations, diagnostics, and system optimizations across client facilities in Houston, TX. You will serve as the on-site technical expert, ensuring peak energy performance while maintaining critical environments.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems, EPA Universal Certification, and strong communication skills for client-facing collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation, service, and mechanical maintenance.
• Chiller & heavy commercial expertise with boilers and large-capacity air handling units.
• Active EPA Universal Certification required. Journeyman license or TDLR license strongly preferred.
• Advanced command of refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, schematic interpretation, airflow dynamics, and hydronic balances.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company professionally in client-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: troubleshooting and repair on complex commercial HVAC/R systems including chillers, air handlers, RTUs, VRF, and hydronic loops.
• System Installation & Retrofit: oversee and execute installation, commissioning, and replacement of commercial systems per engineering specs.
• Preventive & Performance Maintenance: execute seasonal maintenance schedules and optimize equipment for energy efficiency and lifespan.
• Emergency Response & Escalations: lead rapid-response troubleshooting for high-priority service requests and critical environments.
• Safety & Compliance: maintain strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, local codes and safety protocols across worksites.
• Service Documentation: maintain precise digital records of diagnostics, parts inventory, work orders, and field reports.
