Job summary

RealREPP, a national recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established total building solutions provider with multiple locations across the United States to hire an experienced Senior MEP (HVAC) Detailer. The role involves creating precise 3D MEP models to support construction projects, with open to working at Charlotte, NC, or remotely.

You will interpret drawings, produce fabrication packages, ensure code compliance, and collaborate across departments while managing multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Drafting preferred.
• 5+ years of detail/design experience in MEP.
• Knowledge of HVAC detailing and codes (IBC, UFC, CBC, MSS, SMACNA, NEMA, NFPA).
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Bluebeam.
• Experience with CADmep and fabrication databases (preferred).
• Industrial facilities and fabrication background.
• Able to work independently and in teams; leadership preferred; union experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, specs, and documents for accurate detailing.

• Produce fabrication packages for steel projects.
• Ensure code compliance (IBC, UFC, CBC, MSS, SMACNA, NEMA, NFPA).

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established total building solutions provider with multiple locations across the United States to assist in hiring an experienced Senior MEP (HVAC) Detailer.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models of MEP systems in support of construction projects.

Open to working at any of the regional offices: La Mirada CA, Columbus OH, Charlotte, NC or remote!

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural & engineering drawings, specs & other documentation
• Have an understanding of how steel is involved in all aspects of construction
• Create 3D models with Advance Steel
• Produce fabrication packages for structural & miscellaneous steel projects
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of drawings
• Ensure compliance with all codes (IFC, UFC, CBC, etc.)
• Complete 3d model checks
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to run multiple projects at any given time

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MEP detailing (specifically HVAC)
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk, Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, BIM 360
• Stratus & Revizto experience (preferred)
• Experience with database building & management for fabrication in CADmep (preferred)
• Knowledge of building codes/utility specs including IBC, UFC, CBC, MSS, SMACNA, NEMA, NFPA
• Strong background in industrial facilities & fabrication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
• Strong organizational skills
• Leadership experience preferred!
• Union experience preferred

Compensation Package

• $45-65 / hour (range based on experience)
