Job summary

FITS is seeking an engineer with extensive pharma HVAC and facilities-management expertise to lead on-site project management in Puerto Rico. You will evaluate maintenance plans, support Quality Systems, and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, on-time project delivery.

The role requires eight years of engineering experience in regulated environments, strong PM skills, and bilingual English/Spanish communication to support diverse teams and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with eight years of experience as an Engineer in pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
• Specialized expertise in industrial chilled water systems, cooling towers, and HVAC in a pharma/biotech manufacturing environment.
• Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
• Experience in supporting electronic forms and quality/facilities-management systems.
• Experience managing pest-control programs within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems including deviations, CAPA management, change controls, and controlled documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize Preventive & Predictive Maintenance plans for HVAC and cooling systems.
• Provide primary support for Quality Systems activities and related documentation.
• Investigate deviations and drive CAPAs to timely closure with Quality team.
• Support creation, review, routing, and tracking of electronic forms across departments.
• Support Pest Control program transformation with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate Change Controls to facilities, utilities, and equipment; maintain regulatory-ready records.
• Supervise and review contractors/suppliers on operations and capital projects.
• Serve as technical expert in chilled water, cooling towers, and HVAC; set methodology for the area.
• Partner with project managers, consultants, architects, and engineering firms to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
