Ideal candidates have 10+ years in transmission line design, BS in Engineering, and PLS-CADD proficiency. This contract assignment emphasizes safety, coordination with multiple internal teams, and contractor oversight.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience and accredited bachelor’s degree or PE license.
• BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or relevant technical degree.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
• Experience in transmission line design required.
• Thorough knowledge of transmission line design practices including PLS-CADD.
• Experience in managing large complex engineering projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct HV transmission lines.
• Supports estimate preparation.
• Develops design options.
• Prepares construction specifications.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for contracted line design work.
• Create a safe work environment by putting safety first.
• Understand HVTL planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and support design standards; assist construction teams.
• Provide QA reviews for PLS-CADD line models and construction packages.
