Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a bold Human Systems Integration Engineer to shape human-centered design of hardware for the first commercial space station. You will work with engineers, physicians, scientists and crewmembers to ensure complex systems prioritize human needs.

As part of a dynamic team, you will conduct user research, task analysis, and usability testing, develop analyses and test plans, and support readiness and integration activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or Human Systems Integration and 4+ years in HSI or user-centered design.
• Experience with process mapping and documentation; NASA HSI knowledge preferred.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with strong judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSI process and develop Master Task Analyses.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers, Operations, Medical Operations and Safety.
• Conduct user research, task analysis, and usability testing; support test readiness and integration testing.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders; maintain agile project management practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
