  • Develop and distribute compliance procedures, forms, notices, and job aids.
  • Partner with HR, Employee Relations, Payroll, Legal to support compliant HR practices.
  • Maintain workforce data integrity and support compliance reporting through audits and reconciliations.
  • Generate and analyze HR data to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Identify compliance risks and process gaps to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Coordinate services with third-party vendors including background screening and health providers.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, records management, and lifecycle transactions.
  • Conduct audits of workforce records, retention practices, and HR system security roles.
  • Develop training materials and process documentation for compliant HR practices.

Role Summary

The Senior Human Resources Compliance Specialist will support the HR Operations function in ensuring compliance with Internal program guidelines as well as Federal, State and Local requirements. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Monitor employment law and regulatory changes and support implementation of related HR, Payroll, and compliance updates.
  • Coordinate required federal, state, and local employment notices, communications, and compliance-related activities.
  • Administer HR compliance programs and support ongoing regulatory reviews, audits, and remediation efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute compliance procedures, forms, notices, job aids, and operational documentation.
  • Partner with HR, Employee Relations, Payroll, Legal, and business stakeholders to support compliant and consistent HR practices.
  • Maintain workforce data integrity and support compliance reporting through regular audits, reconciliation activities, and corrective actions within HR systems.
  • Generate, analyze, and validate HR data, reports, and metrics to support compliance requirements, operational decision-making, and audit readiness.
  • Identify compliance risks, data discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency, standardization, and controls.
  • Coordinate services and day-to-day activities with third-party vendors, including background screening, occupational health, and workforce compliance providers.
  • Support compliance processes related to onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, records management, contingent workforce administration, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Conduct audits and compliance reviews of workforce records, documentation retention practices, vendor access, HR system security roles, and operational processes.
  • Develop training materials, reference guides, and process documentation that promote compliant HR practices and support continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (Preferred) In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus in compliance, and employment law (Required)
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
