Team Overview

Our HR team is committed to delivering valuable programs to management and employees that reflect the strategic objectives of the organization. We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HR Business Partner to implement our philosophy of what it means to be a true partner to our people and teams. This role requires outstanding communication and strong people skills at all levels throughout the organization, as well as outstanding critical‑thinking skills. Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, HR business partners work with teams on a variety of topics. The ideal candidate resides in Seattle to partner face‑to‑face with team members at our headquarters. We are a hybrid team that works out of our Seattle offices a minimum of two days a week.

What you will do
  • Meet frequently with partner teams; serve as a coach and consultant by providing HR guidance through all aspects of the employee life cycle (coaching, performance enablement, rewards and recognition, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Develop and implement various HR programs to support the HR team’s annual objectives.
  • Understand business challenges and offer ideas to shape our HR strategy with a keen awareness of interdisciplinary impacts; make suggestions to progress and refine initiatives.
  • Partner to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with thorough, effective, and objective investigations; keep key stakeholders informed; make recommendations to the SVP, HR, and management for resolution.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance; partner with internal or external counsel as needed.
  • Serve as a resource to other HR and Recruiting team members on key subjects critical to the HR and Recruiting team’s success.
  • Serve as a guide and coach to other HR team members to develop and launch programs that drive cultural change, improve employee engagement, and drive operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Communicate HR and employment law policies and interpret guidance for employees and managers.
What you will bring
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years managing employee engagement issues and opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and partnership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply guidelines, regulations, laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements for a global workforce.
  • Ability to acquire and articulate a strong understanding of the organization’s jobs, compensation practices, and workforce practices as a business partner to managers and leaders up to senior leadership.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines as well as hold key stakeholders accountable to critical deliverables and deadlines.
Benefits & Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $99,000 – $151,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid‑point of the pay range are reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US‑based employees have access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
