Job summary

The Planet Group in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to plan, lead, coordinate HR services across multiple sites, including California and Arizona. This role focuses on aligning HR programs with business goals and ensuring compliance while supporting talent development.

You will partner with senior leaders, manage investigations, and drive organizational design efforts while traveling to several locations on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Multi-location experience with west coast focus (4 locations, ~300 employees).
• Supervisory experience and travel readiness to sites.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leaders to build organizational capability through strategic HR processes.

$150-160k + equity + bonus

• Multi-location experience - point of contact for west coast HR matters (300 total employees across 4 locations)

• Comfortable with some travel (site visits to Santa Clara, Newport Beach, Mesa, AZ and other locations)

An experienced Sr. HR Business Partner will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate on a broad range of HR services. As a multi-site lead in California and Arizona, the Sr. HRBP will ensure legal compliance and implementation of mission and talent strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities Summarized:

• Work closely with senior leaders and managers to build organizational capability by utilizing the range of strategic people related HR processes, including talent management, performance management and resource planning.
• Provide in-depth advice, coaching and guidance to senior leaders and managers on strategic HR policies and procedures to ensure that are supported in their roles as people managers.
• Facilitate and drive strategic discussions with the business leaders on organization design and structure.
• Work with the leadership team to put in place proactive talent management plans (skills/leadership development and Succession Planning).
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
• Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
• Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
• Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) management system.
• Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
