Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector seeks a Human Factors Engineer 3/4 in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on applying human performance principles to human-machine interfaces and collaborating with design engineers to define system requirements and training needs.

Responsibilities include supporting UI and visualization teams, conducting demonstrations, and coordinating milestones with program leadership and customers. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 5+ years related professional/military experience, OR
• Master of Science in STEM with 3 years related professional/military experience, OR
• STEM Ph.D. with 1 year related professional/military experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with demonstrating concepts to management and customers.
• Experience with Visualization Tools.
• Experience with software development in C++, Python, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile tools (Jira/Confluence)
• Proficiency with MS Office Tools (PPT, Word).
• Must hold current DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate customer demonstrations and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Plan demonstrations and design agenda, win theme, and success criteria.
• Design, review, and brief presentations to leadership and customers.
• Coordinate development goals, fixes, dates, and milestones.
• Prepare and test demonstration products from software and SE teams.
• Identify, manage, and communicate risks.
