Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Human Factors Engineer to lead HF/UE planning, research, development, and continuous improvement of drug-delivery devices. You will guide usability studies, perform risk analyses, and ensure regulatory-ready documentation, collaborating with engineering, risk, quality, and regulatory teams.

You will support clinical studies and regulatory submissions, drive user-centered design across product life cycles, and travel up to 20% domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Req. advanced degree in Human Factors/Usability Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience in biomedical/medical device usability engineering.
• Proven ability to lead HF studies and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead HF/UE planning, research, and development for drug delivery devices.
• Coordinate formative and summative usability studies and risk analyses.
• Prepare documentation for design controls, URRA, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly.
