The role emphasizes leadership in human factors, risk assessment, and design controls while mentoring otherHF engineers in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 – 15 years relevant experience in industry.
• BS or MS in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, HCI, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication with business acumen.
• Experience with one or more complex robotic systems and human-robot interaction.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet user needs and opportunities in robotics and HMI.
• Represent Intuitive during formative research with clinicians and customers.
• Translate findings into actionable design requirements for product teams.
• De-risk design strategies through analysis of human performance and usability risks.
• Lead HF design inputs across robotic systems, instruments, and accessories.
• Collaborate with engineering, clinical, regulatory, and product management teams.
• Mentor peers in HF methodologies and best practices.
